On December 31, 2020, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the “Statistical Yearbook of Urban Construction 2019” and “Statistical Yearbook of Urban and Rural Construction 2019”, announcing the situation of central heating in cities from 1981 to 2019 and from 2000 to 2018 Centralized heating situation in counties throughout the country. As of the end of 2019, the national distirct heating area reached nearly 11 billion square meters, an increase of 600 million ㎡ compared with 2018, a growth rate of about 5.78%; of which the urban district heating area reached 9.251 billion ㎡, and the county district heating area reached 1.748 billion ㎡.
